▶ Raimundo llegó a la perrera en noviembre de 2022 y tenía aproximadamente 3 años de edad a su llegada. Él es un podenco que fue encontrado vagando por las calles y llevado a la perrera.
Cuando llegó, Raimundo estaba muy asustado, y todavía es un perro tímido con la gente. Prefiere esconderse en una de las jaulas, pero cada día crece un poco más su curiosidad.
Probablemente no ha sido socializado, por lo que necesita paciencia para llegar a confiar en la gente; tal vez el mundo entero le parezca demasiado abrumador.
Es bueno con los otros perros en la perrera y probablemente le iría mejor en un hogar con otro perro amigable, que pueda brindarle algo de apoyo y confianza.
Deciembre 2022: Raimundo fue en acogida debido al riesgo de que la perrera se inunde. La familia de acogida nos cuenta: Raimundo es un podenco muy tierno! Aún tiene algunos miedos: la personas tiene que acercarse muy despacito pero después no espera otras cosas que mimos y abrazos. Los ruidos fuerte en la calle no le gustan pero no tiene miedo a otros perros y es muy curioso con ellos además!
Está aprendiendo poco a poco en hacer sus deberes fuera y si lo hace en casa, siempre en las alfombrillas que hemos comprado. Ha mejorado de verdad muchísimo y en solo 4 días!
Se ha quedado perfectamente con mi perro macho, un malinois: duerme con el y lo sigue donde sea y al encontrar otros perros fuera se acerca feliz y curioso, entonces totalmente testado con otro perro. Se ha dejado acariciar de niños también. No sabemos con gatos.
▶ Raimundo arrived at Los Barrios pound in November 2022 and was about 3 years old on arrival. He is a gorgeous podenco that was found presumably abandoned in the streets and brought to the pound.
When Raimundo arrived he was very scared, and he still is a timid dog with people. He prefers to hide in one of the kennels, but he does get a bit more curios day by day. He has probably not been socialized, so he needs patience to get to trust people - maybe the whole world seems a bit too mush for him. He is good with the other dogs at the pound and he would probably do best in a home with another friendly dog, that can give him some support and confidence.
December 2022: Raimundo went into foster because of the risk of the pound is flooding.
The foster family tells us: Raimundo is a very sweet podenco! He still has some fears: people have to approach him very slowly but then wants strokes and cuddles. He doesn’t like loud noises in the street, but he isn’t scared of other dogs and is very curious about them. He is learning, little by little, to do his business outside, and if he does go in the house, it’s always on the mats we’ve bought. He really has improved a lot and in just 4 days! He gets on perfectly well with my male dog, a Malinois: he sleeps with him and follows him wherever he goes. When he meets other dogs on a walk, he approaches them happily and with curiosity, so he is fine with other dogs. He has allowed the children to stroke him as well. We don’t know how he is with cats.
