▶ Phoenix llegó a la perrera en octubre de 2023 y tenía aproximadamente 6 años de edad a su llegada. El es un mestizo que fue encontrado vagando por las calles y llevado a la perrera.

Phoenix llegó en mal estado, pero está mejorando. Está estresado en la perrera y no se adapta bien a vivir en una jaula pequeña durante más de 23 horas al día. Es bueno con las hembras y con algunos machos. Esperamos que no tenga que esperar demasiado para conseguir un buen hogar nuevo, ya que el estrés no le está haciendo ningún bien.

Enero de 2024 - Phoenix fue a un hogar de acogida debido a la inundación de la perrera, y nos cuenta la familia: Él está bien hasta ahora. Ha estado brillante en el coche, muy tranquilo y sentado. No ha sido entrenado en casa, pero lo he estado enseñando desde entonces y diría que casi ha aprendido, ya que no tuvimos incidentes en los últimos 2 días. Lo hemos dejado en casa pocas veces, una de ellas durante 5 horas y ha estado durmiendo todo el tiempo, sin daños ni nada. Lleva muy bien la correa al caminar, parece que no le molestan los gatos u otros perros cuando pasa junto a ellos. Sin embargo, en el jardín, cuando ve los perros de mis vecinos, simplemente ladra, pero es más amigable que agresivo. No he tenido la oportunidad de presentarle a los niños, pero es bastante tranquilo, así que creo que también debería estar bien con los niños. Él coincide con mi energía, es decir, si quiero relajarme y leer/dormir/ver una película, él simplemente me deja y se va a su cama, si quiero jugar o salir a caminar, él se emociona, así que es bastante fácil de manejar. hasta ahora. Está muy contento cuando le dan comida y golosinas y no tiene ningún problema cuando tiene que tomar sus medicamentos o las gotas para los ojos. Estaba muy tranquilo también durante la hora del baño. Durante la noche duerme toda la noche y no deambula, tampoco ronca. Su pelaje también comienza a regresar poco a poco, por lo que mejorará cada vez más. También fue brillante en el veterinario incluso cuando le cortaban las uñas.

▶ Phoenix arrived at Los Barrios pound in October 2023 and was about 6 years old on arrival. He is a gorgeous cross breed that was found presumably abandoned in the streets and brought to the pound.

Phoenix arrived in a bad state, but he is getting better. He is stressed at the pound and doesn’t cope well living in a small cage for more than 23 hours a day. He is good with females and some males.

We hope he doesn’t have to wait too long for a new good home, as the stress isn’t doing him any good.

January 2024 - Phoenix went into a foster home due to the pound flooded, the family tells us;

He is doing okay so far. He has been brilliant in the car, very calm and just sitting. He hasn't been house trained, but I have been training him since and I would say he has almost learned, as we had no incidents in the past 2 days. He has been left in the house few times, one of the times for 5 hours and he has been sleeping all of the time, no damage or anything. He is great on the lead and walks, he seems unbothered by cats or other dogs when passing by them. In the garden though when he sees my neighbours dogs he is just barking, but rather friendly than aggressively. I haven't had the chance to introduce him to children, but he is quite calm, so I think he should be fine with children too.

He matches my energy, i.e. if I want to chill and read/sleep/watch movie he just leaves me and goes in his bed, if I want to play or go for a walk, he is getting excited, so it’s quite easy to handle so far.

He is very happy when given food and treats and he has no problem/fuss when he has to take his medicines or the eye drops. He was very calm also during bath time. During the night he sleeps through the whole night and doesn't wonder around, he also doesn't snore.

His fur starting to return bit by bit as well, so he will get better and better. He was also brilliant at the vet even when they were trimming his nails.
