▶ Nevada llegó a la perrera en junio de 2023 y tenía aproximadamente 2 años de edad a su llegada. Él es un mestizo que fue encontrado vagando por las calles y llevado a la perrera.

Nevada tiene un carácter divertido, se acercará a ti para que lo abraces, pero a veces parece cambiar de opinión y luego se pone un poco brusco 😅 Se lleva bien con los otros perros de la perrera y comparte una pequeña jaula con otra hembra - Wendy.

Nevada entró en acogida junto con Wendy en Octubre, nos cuenta su acogida: Es un perro divertido y enérgico que quiere jugar y que lo acaricien mucho. Todavía habla como un cachorro, pero ahora con una mandíbula más fuerte, pero sin agresión alguna. Es suave a menos que se excite y luego es más intenso, pero al decirle "no" e ignorarlo se detiene. Con tiempo y entrenamiento debería superarlo. Su comportamiento es demasiado sumiso hacia los humanos que conoce, pero como resultado no muestra ningún mal carácter y hasta ahora es muy juguetón con otros perros (Wendy). ¡Muestra poco interés en nuestros perros al otro lado de la cerca, después de acostumbrarse inicialmente a sus nuevos vecinos! Le falta socialización humana, como a un cachorro, pero está bien adaptado y no he visto ninguna agresión por miedo. He visto un poco de protección de recursos a la hora de comer con Wendy cuando intentaba meter la nariz en su plato, lo cuál era justo en mi opinión. No muestra signos de proteger los recursos de los humanos o los juguetes. Se relacionará con Wendy al mismo tiempo que yo y no hay rivalidad ni amenaza alguna. Parece un perro joven bien adaptado, que podría tener un hogar con otro perro o no. Muy saltarín: salta hacia ti. Es un perro liviano, por lo que ser un poco "demasiado" no hace daño. Creo que se le podría sacar fácilmente. En resumen, es un cachorro grande, no conoce sus propias fuerzas y aún no ha tenido a nadie que lo socialice. La familia adecuada tendría un gran perro con él. Y además, él y Wendy forman una pareja fabulosa, contrastan y comparten algunas cosas de una manera excelente. tienen las mismas energías (tal vez él un poco más), ambos tienen las mismas necesidades de socialización, pero ninguno muestra agresión entre sí (aparte de Wendy metiéndose la nariz en su tazón) y parecen haberse unido bien.

▶ Navada arrived at Los Barrios pound in June 2023 and was about 2 years old on arrival. He is a cross breed that was found presumably abandoned in the streets and brought to the pound.

Nevada has a funny carácter, he will come up to you for a cuddle, but then sometimes he seems to change his mind and then he gets a bit snappy 😅

He is good with the other dogs at the pound and he shares a tiny cage with another female - Wendy.

Nevada went into foster together with Wendy October, the foster tells us:

He is a fun energetic dog who wants to play and be petted a lot. He still mouths like a puppy, now with a stronger jaw, but with no aggression at all. Its gentle unless he gets excited and then its stronger, but "no" and ignoring stops this. Time should see him grow out of this with training.

Overly submissive behaviour to humans he knows, but it isn't showing any bad character as a result, and so far very playful with other dogs (Wendy) . He shows little interest in our dogs on other side of fence, after initial getting used to his new neighbours!

He lacks human socialising, like a puppy does, but he's well adjusted and i've not seen any fear aggression at all. I've seen is a little bit of resource guarding at meal time with Wendy when she tried to stick her nose in his bowl, which was fair in my opinion.

He shows no sign of resource guarding on humans or toys. He'll engage with Wendy at same time as me and there is no rivalry or threat at all.

He seems like a well adjusted young dog, who could have a home with another dog or not. Very bouncy - he jumps up and at you. He's a light dog so other being a little "too much" its no harm in it. It could be easily trained out of him I would think.

In short, he's a big puppy, doesnt know his own strength and hasnt had anyone to socialise him yet. Right family would have a great dog with him.

And also, he and Wendy make a fab pair, they contrast and share some things in a great way. they have equal energies (maybe he a bit more) they both have the same socialising needs, but neither show any aggression to each other (other than Wendy shoving nose in bowl) and seem to have bonded well.
