▶ Lady llegó a la perrera en septiembre de 2023 y tenía aproximadamente 3 años de edad a su llegada. Ella es una mastina que fue encontrada vagando por las calles y llevada a la perrera.

Lady fue encontrada con un chip, y su dueño prometió venir por ella, pero en cambio la entregaron en la perrera... Es una perrita muy dulce y cariñosa que adora a las personas y se lleva bien con otros perros. Pero la vida en la perrera es dura para ella.

Lady pasó aproximadamente un mes en un hogar de acogida en octubre de 2023, y su madre de acogida compartió: "Lady está bien. Los paseos la hacen muy feliz, pero tiene miedo de ruidos fuertes, ciertas personas, algunos perros y el agua, lo que hace que su cola se ponga entre las piernas. Confía en mí y siempre está a mi lado. Cuando está feliz, pone sus patas en mi pecho y sonríe. Le encantan los mimos y los niños, y está bien con los gatos hasta que se acercan demasiado, entonces se asusta. Puede viajar en coche, pero se estresa, así que le canto para calmarla. Le estoy enseñando a quedarse sola en casa."

Ahora, Lady está de vuelta en la perrera. Se las arregla, pero no está feliz. Sus ojos cuentan una historia triste, como si suplicaran ser llevada a casa. Durante sus breves descansos en su jaula, espera junto a la puerta, con la esperanza de que alguien la saque a pasear. Le encantan los paseos y se comporta bien con la correa, tranquila y dulce. Es hora de que Lady encuentre un hogar donde sea amada para siempre y nunca sea dejada en un lugar como la perrera.

▶ Lady arrived at Los Barrios pound in September 2023 and was about 3 years old on arrival. She is a gorgeous mastin that was found presumably abandoned in the streets and brought to the pound.

Lady was found with a chip, and her owner promised to come for her, but instead, they surrendered her at the pound... She's a very sweet and loving dog who adores people and gets along well with other dogs. But life at the pound is tough for her.

Lady spent about a month in foster care in October 2023, and her foster mom shared: "Lady is doing well. Walks make her so happy, but she's scared of loud noises, certain people, some dogs, and water, which makes her tail go between her legs. She trusts me and sticks by my side. When she's happy, she puts her paws on my chest and smiles. She loves cuddles and children, and she's okay with cats until they get too close, then she gets scared. She can handle car rides, but she gets stressed, so I sing to her to calm her down. I'm teaching her to be alone at home."

Now, Lady is back at the pound. She's coping, but she's not happy. Her eyes tell a sad story, as if pleading to be taken home. During her brief breaks from her cage, she waits by the gate, hoping for someone to take her out for a walk. She loves walks and behaves well on the lead, calm and sweet. It's time for Lady to find a home where she'll be loved forever and never left in a place like the pound.
