▶ Cometa llegó a la perrera en mayo de 2024 y tenía aproximadamente 1,5 años de edad a su llegada. Ella es una mestiza que fue encontrada vagando por las calles y llevada a la perrera.
Cometa es una joven cariñosa que adora los mimos y está buscando su hogar definitivo. Es amigable con otros perros y pasea bien con correa. Actualmente está en una casa de acogida, pero necesita un nuevo hogar temporal o, mejor aún, un hogar permanente cerca de Los Barrios.
Cometa ha sido diagnosticada con filaria (gusano del corazón) y requiere medicación durante los próximos 3-4 meses.
Su actual familia de acogida nos cuenta:
"Cometa es una perra estupenda en general. Es cariñosa pero también disfruta de su tiempo a solas. Está mayormente entrenada para hacer sus necesidades en casa, con algunos accidentes debido a la nueva medicación.
Le estamos enseñando a no saltar en la cocina o en la mesa. Puede ser traviesa si se queda sola, así que hay que guardar las cosas.
A Cometa le encanta jugar con sus juguetes. Puede quedarse sola unas horas después de hacer ejercicio y comer. Es amigable con otros perros y personas, incluyendo niños. Pero no se lleva bien con gatos. Pasea bien con correa la mayoría del tiempo.
A veces se asusta con cosas o ruidos nuevos, pero está menos ansiosa ahora con la medicación. Se pone un poco nerviosa en los coches pero le gusta estar cerca de las personas. En general, es una perra cariñosa y dulce que podría llevarse bien viviendo con otro perro amigable."

▶ Cometa arrived at Los Barrios pound in May 2024 and was about 1,5 years old on arrival. She is a gorgeous cross breed that was found abandoned in the streets and brought to the pound.
Cometa is a young, affectionate girl who absolutely adores cuddles and is looking for her forever home. She's friendly with other dogs and walks well on a lead. Cometa is currently in foster care but needs a new foster or, even better, a permanent home near Los Barrios.
Cometa has been diagnosed with filaria (heartworm) and requires medication for the next 3-4 months.
Her current foster tells us:
“Cometa is a great dog overall. She's affectionate but also enjoys alone time. She's mostly house-trained, with a few accidents due to new medication.
We're teaching her not to jump up in the kitchen or at the table. She can be mischievous if left alone, so things need to be put away.
Cometa loves playing with her toys. She's okay being alone for a few hours after exercise and food. She's friendly with other dogs and people, including children. But she doesn't get along with cats. She walks well on a lead most of the time.
Sometimes she gets scared by new things or noises, but she's less anxious now with medication. She's a bit nervous in cars but likes to be close to people. Overall, she's a loving and sweet dog who might do well living with another friendly dog.“
