Baloo comparte su jaula con Pieza, una perra Malinois, y también pasa tiempo en el patio con otros perros, mostrando que es social y se lleva bien con sus compañeros caninos. Sin embargo, sería ideal que Baloo estuviera en un hogar donde sea el único perro o tenga una compañera femenina tranquila.
Cuando Baloo sale a caminar, lo hace de manera ejemplar con la correa. No parece inmutarse ante los coches, las personas ni los perros que pasan cerca de él, y los gatos tampoco parecen interesarle mucho. Es un perro tranquilo y bien educado en sus paseos.
Como la mayoría de los Pastores Alemanes, Baloo prospera con ejercicio regular, estimulación mental y atención afectuosa, cosas que no está recibiendo en la perrera. Necesita un hogar donde pueda recuperar su fuerza, confianza y alegría por la vida.

▶ Baloo arrived at Los Barrios pound in June 2024 and was about 2,5 years old on arrival. He is a gorgeous german shepherd cross that was found presumably abandoned in the streets and brought to the pound.
A Beautiful Soul in Desperate Need of a Home... When Baloo first arrived at the pound, he was a stunning, big German Shepherd mix, full of potential, kindness, and love. However, he is now really struggling. The overcrowded conditions, damp floors, and harsh environment have taken a significant toll on him. Baloo has lost a lot of weight, and the constant exposure to the dirty, cold floors has caused his paws to become so painful that he can barely walk. The stress and hardship of the pound are breaking his spirit, and he urgently needs a home where he can heal and recover.
Baloo shares his cage with Pieza, a female Malinois, and he also spends time in the patio with other dogs, showing that he is social and gets along well with his canine companions. However, he may do best in a home where he is the only dog or with a calm female companion.
When Baloo goes for walks, he is exemplary on the lead. He doesn’t seem bothered by cars, people, or other dogs passing by, and cats don’t seem to interest him much either. He’s calm and well-behaved during his walks.
Like most German Shepherds, Baloo thrives with regular exercise, mental stimulation, and affectionate attention—none of which he is receiving at the pound. He needs a home where he can regain his strength, confidence, and joy for life.
Baloo’s spirit is fading in this harsh environment, but with the right family, he still has the potential to become an incredible, loyal companion. He needs a fresh start, and you could be the one to give him that second chance. Adopting Baloo could change both his life and yours—for the better.
