▶ Axel llegó a la perrera en octubre de 2022 y tenía aproximadamente 5 años de edad a su llegada. Él es un mestizo que fue encontrado vagando por las calles y llevado a la perrera.

Axel llegó a nuestra perrera en un estado terrible, pero con cuidados y tratamiento, se recuperó rápidamente y se convirtió en un perro feliz y vibrante. Siempre ha amado a las personas y los abrazos, y su cola no dejaba de moverse cuando estaba con sus amigos humanos.

Lamentablemente, Axel ha pasado muchos meses esperando en una jaula pequeña, la mayoría del tiempo solo, y ha comenzado a parecer triste y deprimido. Algunos días, se queda en su caseta sin querer salir.

Ocasionalmente, sale al patio con perras, pero la mayor parte del tiempo está solo en un aburrido patio de cemento durante su breve descanso diario de la jaula. Sus únicos momentos de alegría son los días en que tiene la suerte de salir a caminar. Le encanta rodar en el césped— a veces se puede ver una pequeña sonrisa en su rostro. También disfruta olfatear a lo largo del camino. Desafortunadamente, estas caminatas ocurren raramente debido a la falta de voluntarios.

Siendo un perro negro, ha sido más difícil encontrarle un hogar, lo cual nos rompe el corazón porque él merece mucho más.

Axel necesita un hogar amoroso donde pueda tener el espacio y el tiempo para redescubrir su felicidad. Lo mejor para él sería ser el único perro en el hogar, donde pueda recibir todo el amor y la atención que anhela.

▶ Axel arrived at Los Barrios pound in October 2022 and was about 5 years old on arrival. He is a gorgeous cross breed that was found presumably abandoned in the streets and brought to the pound.

Axel arrived at our pound in a terrible state, but with care and treatment, he quickly recovered and became a happy, vibrant dog. He has always loved people and cuddles, with a tail that never stopped wagging when he was around his human friends.

Sadly, Axel has spent many months waiting in a tiny cage, mostly alone, and he has started to seem sad and depressed. Some days, he stays in his dog house, not wanting to come out.

He occasionally gets to go out on the patio with female dogs, but mostly he is on his own in a boring cement patio for his short daily break from the cage. His only highlights are the days he is lucky enough to be taken out for a walk. He loves rolling in the grass—sometimes you can even see a little smile on his face. He also enjoys having a good sniff along the road. Unfortunately, these walks happen rarely due to a lack of volunteers.

Being a black dog, it's been harder to find him a home, which breaks our hearts because he deserves so much more.

Axel needs a loving home where he can have the space and time to rediscover his happiness. He would do best as the only dog in the household, where he can receive all the love and attention he craves.

Please consider opening your heart and home to Axel. He has so much love to give and just needs a chance to shine again.
