▶ Astro llegó a la perrera en agosto de 2022 y tenía aproximadamente 15 meses de edad a su llegada. Él es un podenco que fue encontrado vagando por las calles y llevado a la perrera.

Astro es muy popular entre otros perros, ya que es un tipo muy sociable. Se lleva bien con machos y hembras.

Es un chico seguro de sí mismo al que también le gustan los mimos de los humanos.

Si amas a los podencos, te encantará este chico bien equilibrado al que le encantarían las caminatas largas y agradables, y el tiempo de juego con un poco de sofá después.

Deciembre 2022:Astro fue en acogida debido al riesgo de que la perrera se inunde. Nos han llegado estas preciosas fotos y vídeos de Astro y la familia de acogida nos cuenta:

Astro es un perro encantador y cariñoso que también es sociable con otros perros. Era un poco tímido al principio y los ruidos extraños lo asustaron. No le gusta mucho bajar las escaleras, pero subirá y bajará en el ascensor sin problema. Tuvo un par de problemas con el baño en la casa al principio, pero no ha tenido más accidentes desde entonces y ahora hace sus cosas afuera. Se ha quedado solo unas horas seguidas sin incidentes, no ha roto ni destruido nada. También es muy bueno durante la noche. En el coche le ponemos el cinturón de seguridad, y está un poco inseguro de todo, pero viaja bien en el coche. Le gusta salir a pasear y es bastante fuerte con la correa. Se le debe sacar por lo menos 4 veces al día (para que pueda hacer sus necesidades) y en una de las salidas podría estar corriendo o jugando con su pelota.

▶ Astro arrived at Los Barrios pound in August 2022 and was about 15 months old on arrival. He is a gorgeous podenco that was found presumably abandoned in the streets and brought to the pound.

Astro is very popular with other dogs as he’s such a sociable chap. He gets on with males and females. He is a confident boy who also likes human cuddles. If you love Podencos, you will love this well balanced boy who would love nice long walks and play time with some sofa time afterwards.

December 2022: Astro went into foster because of the risk of the pound is flooding.

We have received these lovely photos and videos of Astro and the foster family tells us:

Astro is a lovely affectionate dog that is also sociable with other dogs. He was a little shy at first and strange noises startled him. He’s not keen on going down the stairs, but he will go up and down in the lift without a problem.

He had a couple of toilet issues in the house in the beginning but hasn’t had any more accidents since then and now does his business outside. He has been left alone for a few hours at a time without incident, he hasn’t broken or destroyed anything. He is also very good during the night.

In the car we attach him to his seatbelt, and he is a little uncertain of it all, but he travels well in the car. He likes going out for walks and is quite strong on the lead. He should be taken out at least 4 times a day (so he can do his business) and on one of the outings he could do with running or playing with his ball.

Astro is back at the pound.
