Salem arrived at the pound in October 2018 and was approximately 8 years old on arrival. She is a female crossbreed who was found wandering the streets, presumably abandoned.
Poor Salem arrived in a despicable state. How could anyone allow a dog to become so ill? We are seeing this more and more at the pound - dogs either being found on the street or handed in by their owners in a shameful condition. And still these dogs are prepared to forgive, continue wagging their tails and give unconditional love. Salem is no exception. From the moment she arrived at the pound and started to receive her treatment for erlichia, anaplasma, leishmania and dirofilaria she has been a super star. She is the happiest dog you could ever meet even though she must have felt so sick when she arrived. She has responded exceptionally well to her treatment, probably helped by her happy and positive demeanour, and now you would never even know she had been sick. This adorable and so loving and deserves the best home ever.
