Ra llegó a la perrera en mayo de 2018 y tenía aproximadamente 3 años de edad a su llegada. Él es un American Staffordshire terrier que fue encontrado vagando por las calles y llevado a la perrera.
¿Qué es lo que te hace conectar inmediatamente con un perro? No es realmente algo que se puede describir con palabras, ¿verdad? Es un sentimiento... una emoción... bueno Ra es uno de esos perros que invoca algo dentro de ti.
¿Es por la forma en que muestra su aprecio por la atención que le das, en una manera tan gentil, tranquilo y noble?
¿O es su capacidad de aceptar instantáneamente a una nueva persona, niño o adulto, que la recibe con amor y afecto?
¿Es porque te han dicho que él está nervioso y completamente estresado en la perrera, pero lo ves por el perro que realmente es y por su capacidad para dejar ese estrés atrás, aunque sólo sea por un corto tiempo, porque no va a desperdiciar ni un momento del tiempo que tiene contigo?
¿O es sólo la mirada en sus ojos? Que muestra la gratitud... el amor que aún tienes que ganar... el conocimiento que al salvar su vida de alguna manera el salvara la tuya...
Al final no importa cómo o por qué Ra te roba el corazón, sólo es importante que lo haga y que finalmente pueda tener una vida que merezca la pena vivir... Por favor, haz que su sueño se haga realidad y haz que sus ojos se iluminen con esperanza y felicidad porque eso es lo que realmente se merece y seguramente te lo mereces también...

A pesar de que Ra vive solo en una jaula y no tiene mucha interacción con otros perros, es genial en el paseo. No presta mucha atención a los perros que pasan y está atento a la persona que lo pasea. Él está tranquilo y relajado cuando te paras a charlar con otra persona que tiene otro perro.

Durante el dia Ra esta en el patio con otro perros, jugando con machos y hembras sin problema.
Ra arrived at Los Barrios pound in May 2018 and was about 3 years old on arrival. He is a gorgeous American Staffordshire terrier that was found wandering the streets and brought to the pound.
What is it that makes you immediately connect with a dog? It isn’t really something can be described in words, is it? It’s a feeling…an emotion... well Ra is one of those dogs that invokes something within you.
Is it because of the way he shows his appreciation for the attention that you give him, in such a gentle, calm and noble way?
Or is it his ability to instantly accept a new person, child or adult, he meets with love and affection?
Is it because you have been told that he is nervous and completely stressed at the pound, yet you see him for the dog he really is and for his ability to leave that stress behind, if only for a short time, because he isn’t going to waste one moment that he has with you?
Or is it just the look in his eyes? When you see the gratitude… the love that you have yet to earn…the knowledge that by saving his life you will have in a way saved your own…
In the end it doesn’t matter how or why he steals your heart, it is only important that he does and that he finally can have a life worth living…Please make his dream come true and make his eyes light up with hope and happiness because that is what he truly deserves and surely you deserve that too…
Update February 2020
Even though Ra lives alone in a pen and doesn’t have much interaction with other dogs, he is great on a walk. He doesn’t pay much attention to dogs that pass and is attentive to the person walking him. He is calm and relaxed when you stop to chat with another person with a dog.
Update November 2020
Ra now goes to the patio with dogs from other pens. He plays with both males and females.
